Now THIS is a brilliant location for a landscape photographer! I reckon you could get some rather nice portraits down here too!!
Big rugged rocky structures, gorgeous dark red boulders at the shore line, rough ocean swells pounding anything and everything in its way. It has a very prehistoric feel to it, you seriously feel like you've taken a step back in time. Access however is not so easy. From the Cape Woolamai ocean beach carpark, a 10 minute trek is needed along the sandy beach before ascending a staircase to the top of the cliffs, before finishing the last 20 minute walk along the cliff top path. This gets you to the lookout, overlooking the stunning Pinnacles, but to really experience the isolation, you need to trek off the beaten path and head down the "goat track" - very steep and not for the faint hearted, however it is only 100 metres long.
